SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed in regards to the significant range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie sassa status and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area each day. The support level designed for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who go to SRD a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to empower the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
